Who we are

We are a membership organization of over 100 people strong who are dedicated to exploring educational opportunities related to the conservation of our natural resources, and bringing people together through the greening of our community.

Field to Fork

We stand as an example of environmental responsibility through our diverse array of programmatic offerings for our members and the community at large. One such program this past year was

Our offerings range from
speaker presentations and demonstrations, to fundraisers, floral design, and horticultural competitions. Select programs are open to the public as part of our desire to share gardening resources and knowledge with our community. Samples of past year's offerings are
Embracing the Fall and Winter Seasons with Eco-Friendly Floral Design and An Evening of Botanical Sketching.

In our Community
Picture

We encourage the protection and conservation of natural resources.
We strive to promote civic beauty and to engage community members with garden related activities. One project is our
Civic Planters, available for sponsorship by local businesses and individuals on an annual basis. Four seasonal displays are maintained by club members to enhance the beauty of our towns.
Another is our mini Public Garden or 'Garden Space' in Pingree Park, which hosts native plants and educational opportunities. We choose to create something that would be long lasting and give back to our community.

Our theme for this year is
Garden to Renew, Restore, and Revitalize
As Lady Bird Johnson once said, "Where flowers bloom, so does hope."
Although this past year saw isolation, cancellation, anxiety, and grief, we hope that gardening, whether the physical act or the enjoyment of, brought peace and nourishment to your soul. We look forward to a
year filled with enlightenment, joy, friendship, and laughter!

"
“The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature.
To nurture a garden is to feed not just on the body, but the soul.”
 - Alfred Austin
