The Annual Exhibitor's Awards
Awards will be given in Design and Horticulture within two groups of exhibitors.
Group 1 – Monthly Club Competitions
Awarded to members acquiring the highest number of points in the monthly club
competitions exhibiting in Design and/or Horticulture. Monthly club competition points
will be recorded and tabulated by the Awards Chair.
Awards will be given to the Group 1 winner in each of the three Design sections:
Novice, Intermediate, and Experienced, and to the three top winners in Horticulture.
Group 2 – Monthly Club Competitions and Standard/Specialty Flower Shows
Awarded to members acquiring the highest number of combined points from both the
monthly club competitions and Standard/Specialty Flower Shows in Design and/or
Horticulture.
Exhibitors in Group 2 understand that it is their responsibility to submit their points
earned in Standard/Specialty Flower Shows to the Awards Chair by the end of May.
Monthly club competition points will be recorded and tabulated by the Awards Chair.
Awards will be given to the Group 2 winner in each of the three Design sections:
Novice, Intermediate, and Experienced, and to the three top winners in Horticulture.

Members from both Group 1 and Group 2 will be ineligible for an award in any particular
category (Design and/or Horticulture) for one year after winning first place in that
category for two consecutive years.
Scale of points for awards in monthly competitions in both Horticulture and Design:
1st Place Blue 5 points
2nd Place Red 3 points
3rd Place Yellow 2 points
Honorable Mention White 1 point
Credit for entering whether winning an award or not: 1 point
Credit for judging: 2 points
In order to win an annual award, one must meet minimum requirements of:
Design 10 points / Horticulture 20 points

The Mrs. Bessie Preston Cutler Bowl
The Mrs. Bessie Preston Cutler Bowl is awarded each year to the member acquiring the highest number of points in both Horticulture and Design in Standard or Specialty Flower Shows and in monthly club competitions (Design and /or Horticulture).
At least 20 points, including a Blue ribbon in both Design and Horticulture, must be earned
through Standard or Specialty Flower Shows.
In the event the member entering NGC Standard or Specialty Flower Shows meets
the above criteria but is not the highest point winner in monthly club competitions,
the Cutler Bowl shall be awarded.
A member will be ineligible for this prize for one year after winning the bowl for
two consecutive years.
At least 20 points, including a Blue ribbon in both Design and Horticulture, must be earned
through Standard or Specialty Flower Shows.
In the event the member entering NGC Standard or Specialty Flower Shows meets
the above criteria but is not the highest point winner in monthly club competitions,
the Cutler Bowl shall be awarded.
