Design Competition Class: Cinco De Mayo: A Design of your choice to celebrate the
Mexican-American Holiday.

Horticultural Competition
Class 1. Perennial: (one stem or spray) a. Dicentra (bleeding heart); b. Aquilegia (columbine);
c. Tiarella (foamflower); d. Phlox (creeping phlox) e. Any other worthy specimen
Class 2. Flowering Branch: ( 12” - 30”) a. Cornus (dogwood); b. Magnolia; c. Syringa (lilac, no foliage);
d. Malus (crabapple); e. Viburnum; f. Any other worthy specimen
Class 3. Flowering Bulb: (one stem) a. Narcissus (daffodil); b. Tulipa (tulip, 2 leaves);
c. Muscari (grape hyacinth); d. Any other worthy specimen
Class 4. Groundcover: (in bloom)
Class 5. Any other worthy specimen
