Town Beautification
via our
civic planter program

Four seasonal displays of 27 planter boxes are maintained by club members to enhance the beauty of our towns.

Civic planters are available for sponsorship by local businesses and individuals on an annual basis.

Our theme for this year is
Garden to Renew, Restore, and Revitalize
As Lady Bird Johnson once said, "Where flowers bloom, so does hope." Although this past year saw isolation, cancellation, anxiety, and grief, we hope that gardening, whether the physical act or the enjoyment of, brought peace and nourishment to your soul. We look forward to a
year filled with enlightenment, joy, friendship, and laughter!
"To plant a garden
is to believe in tomorrow."

- Audrey Hepburn

Help clean up the banks of a stream or a beach that ‘somehow’ collects trash.  Find and pull, cut down (or dig out as appropriate) invasive plants that have taken over native plants.

As we all know, it truly takes a village to create something that will stand
the test of time.
T
he Pingree Park Garden is a project that will be maintained by HWGC members and volunteers for many years down the road.
