Join us for a Valentine’s day luncheon. Our guest speaker will be Erin Bonney,
Resiliency Program Director for the Ipswich River Watershed Association.
Outdoor water use accounts for up to half of the water used on the North Shore. The
decisions we make about water use on our lawns and gardens has significant impacts on
the health of the Ipswich River. Erin will discuss the challenges faced by the Ipswich
River and present options for environmentally-friendly gardening practices. Small
changes at your home or in your community can make a big difference to protect our

It is now officially spring!! Get ready to take great pictures of all the beauty you are
about to create in your yards and gardens.
In this lecture, Joanne Pearson will lead you through the art of seeing as an artist does,
framing and creating dramatic compositions of overall garden views, plant groupings and
flower close ups. You will learn about balance and movement, when the light is best and
what you can do to create better photographs when you don’t have it. Joanne will cover
some camera and lens basics, including the one piece of equipment everyone who is
interested in taking better garden photographs must have in their arsenal.

flowers in her cooking demonstrations and features photographs of her cottage-style
garden in many of her programs. Her gardens have been featured in New Hampshire
Magazine, New Hampshire Home, New Hampshire Chronicle and Colorado Home.
With the popularity of her cooking classes, Liz was inspired to write her first
cookbook Beautifully Delicious: Cooking with Herbs & Edible Flowers (Liz Barbour's,
Creative Feast 2017).
Liz will give us garden design and recipe ideas, featuring a slide presentation from Liz’s
edible garden focusing on her favorite easy to grow salad ingredients.
