programs 2023-24

The HWGC holds monthly meetings Wednesday evenings, September through May.
Selected meetings are open to the Community at Large while others are offered to membership only.

This year the HWGC is planning to hold in-person meetings, excepting January which will be a zoom meeting.

We will gather to catch up with old friends and meet the newest members of the Club. Pot Luck Dish – Using the first letter of your last name, please bring a serving for 6-8 people; 

         A through G – dessert;
         H through M – salad, appetizer, or cold plate;
         N through Z – main course.

Please note: All dishes must be ready to serve. Beverages will be provided.
Please bring your own dinnerware, glass, and utensils.

Come get your mushroom nerd on with Farmer Elizabeth, founder of Fat Moon Farm in
Westford, MA. During our time together, we'll uncover the facts behind the fungi. Get
ready to take a deep dive into both the life cycle and anatomy of the mushroom. Elizabeth
will have DIY mushroom growing kits for sale.

Let's welcome the holiday season with Lisa Oberholzer-Gee as she creates floral designs we can use in the coming festive days ahead. Lisa will show us ideas for creating beautiful arrangements using both natural and other materials to create structures to hold flowers. Binding, wiring, gluing are all floral techniques that will make designs stand out.
Let's create and have fun thinking out of the box!

A favorite tradition for club members – Come join us for a fun evening making wreaths, centerpieces, boxwood trees and other holiday arrangements! Your greens and containers
will be supplied but feel free to bring any favorite items of your own such as decorative
ornaments or a favorite container. Remember to bring your own clippers and perhaps
some gloves. No experience is necessary! Watch for details in the newsletter. This
program requires advance sign up.
All are welcome!
